Bruno's Best Friend

Personal Project

This project was developed as part of the RMIT UI Design Future Skills short course, where I had the opportunity to create an app concept called Bruno's Best Friend. The app was designed to connect 'pet parents' with local dog walkers, aiming to provide a convenient and reliable service for dog owners looking to find trustworthy walkers in their area.

To ensure the app would resonate with its target audience, I began by working through user profiles, ultimately deciding to create a design that would appeal to millennial and Gen Z pet owners—individuals who value convenience, aesthetics, and a playful, engaging experience. With this demographic in mind, the design needed to be both sleek and fun, striking a balance between functionality and personality.

This project marked my first experience working through the entire UI design process from start to finish. I began by developing a mood board to capture the visual direction, followed by creating user flows and profiles to ensure the design aligned with user needs. The process included usability testing to refine the user experience and iterating through various stages of design, from low-fidelity wireframes to mid-fi and ultimately high-fidelity prototypes. Each step allowed me to better understand and apply design principles, ensuring the final product met both functional and aesthetic goals.

Bruno’s Best Friend was a valuable learning experience, providing hands-on practice in UI design while also giving me the chance to develop a product that would meet the needs of a specific, modern audience—making it both a fun and professional challenge.
